All Scratch and Dent Items are sold as-is and are not eligible to be repaired by us and are void of any manufacturer warranty. They are also final sale. Scratch and dent items can vary in condition from used and dirty to new and unused and could have a small flaw, such as a clip missing for example. We will not be able to advise on repairs so we recommend only purchasing if you feel competent at sewing and problem-solving. We try to give a general description of the conditions of the items to help with decision-making on whether you should purchase or not. If you receive a scratch and dent item and find the item in a condition that is different from what we described in the notes, it does not make the shelter eligible for a return or exchange since the shelters are sold as-is and are FINAL SALE. NO PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE.

I purchased my first lunar solo 20 years ago. I have not seen a better tent in all these years for fast and light with lots if room for my 6'2" height. So when it came time to have a new tent it still is the lunar solo. I purchased a scratch and dent. I have yet to find any defect. New tent, low price, top quality. Where can you find that? Six Moon Designs.
Getting this tent used was definitely worth it. Previous owner had done some sloppy seam sealing, but the tent is still fabulously light and held up well against some mountain rain storms. My first ultralight single-wall tent, so I had a bit of a learning curve on setup and how to handle the internal condensation, but worked out quite well for me in the end and I'm pleased with the purchase. Love that the lack of tent poles means I can take the tent in an airplane carry-on bag as well (check the hiking poles separately, but at least I could replace hiking poles if checked bags got lost far more easily than the whole tent).
I couldn't even find the defect that was listed in the description for the Lunar Solo. The tent performed great on a solo Colorado elk hunt. It was a great with the discount.
The lunar solo is a very well made shelter with tidy stitching and a great design that is easy to set up quickly. The first time out last week it got tested by a mad Canadian hail storm…it’s super solid.
Picked up a Trekker for a huge savings. Only two very small defects, and I got a new, clean and outstanding tent for a very low price. And do I love this shelter. It's ultra light, lots of room and easy to set up. A perfect match to my SMD Minimalist V2.
