JIM BARRON

Jim was born and raised in Michigan and didn't get into backpacking until after college. After taking a trip to the Manistee River in Michigan, he was hooked. Jim holds a degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering and has a wife and 2 kids.

Although he has a full time job, Jim still makes time every year to go on a few big trips, most recently going to Isle Royale in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as well as a week long hike through Glacier National Park in 2019.

During the summer Jim spends as much time as possible getting outside and enjoying nature. During the Michigan winter he's busy fawning over new gear and trying to shave ounces off his base weight.
