FRANCISCO "KARATE KID" MILLER

Francisco was born and raised in Ohio, where he developed a love for the outdoors at an early age exploring the forests and rivers of the Midwest with family. After graduating from Miami University (OH) in 2007 with a degree in Marketing, he went on to work in Chicago, IL; Normandy, France; and Barcelona, Spain as a logistics broker.

The fast-paced life of sales just wasn't cutting it and in 2014 he decided to sell almost all of his belongings and thru- hike the Appalachian Trail.  A renewed love of life and adventure, and the confidence to tackle anything led him to complete the Triple Crown of long-distance hiking; hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in 2015 and the Continental Divide Trail in 2016. 

After moving to Asheville, NC to start a new life in the mountains, he knew that sharing his rediscovered passion for life and the outdoors as a hiking/backpacking guide was the only way to go.  Since then he has also completed thru hikes on the Mountains to Sea Trail, Tahoe Rim Trail, and Foothills Trail, with many more thru hikes planned for 2019 and beyond!
