BRIAN DOUB

I was born and raised in Indiana where I spent many years camping and hiking the trails of the Hoosier National Forest and canoeing and sailing Indiana’s rivers and lakes.

After getting married and graduating from university my wife and I moved to Washington State where we climbed Mt. Rainier and skied and hiked in the Cascade mountains.

Later we moved overseas to the Middle East where I was involved in relief and development work and training expats in cross cultural adaptation, but I still found time to explore the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, Petra and climb Mount Sinai. I even had the opportunity to help sail a friend’s yacht from Australia to the Red Sea across the Indian Ocean.

I currently live in the United Kingdom where I have been paragliding for the past 18 years and have become a paragliding instructor. I have paraglided in Nepal, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Slovenia, Bosnia Herzegovinian, Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Norway and many other places. In the last few years, I have begun doing “vol biv” – multi-day flying and camping in the Lake District of the U.K. and in the Alps.
