Monica Stapleton

Monica Stapleton

Hailing from the great state of Wisconsin, Monica made her way on West twelve years ago. As a perpetual seasonal worker, she has moved between just about every state in the Intermountain Region. Initially working as a canyoneering guide in the canyon country of Utah, Monica switched gears to focus on land management and conservation. She has split her time working with various non profits and land management agencies, working as a wildland firefighter, trail worker, river restoration technician, and most recently, a wilderness ranger with the National Park Service. All of these positions have allowed her to spend more nights in the backcountry in her tent than anywhere else, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

In her free time, Monica enjoys all things outside, whether it's paddling, climbing, biking, or hiking to a secret watering hole to catch some fish!
